Narrative Description of Project:

The study aims at harnessing the water resources of the Volta River for economic development of the plains. Specific objectives of the study are:

  • To review past studies on the APIP.
  • To undertake the feasibility studies for the APIP.
  • To determine the agricultural production potentials of the plains taking into

consideration the return of investments.

  • To identify the most efficient and economic design option in terms of water

conveyance and delivery systems within the plains to prepare a detailed design reports including   drawing, and other documents with costing.
